We breed and grow out Clownfish in captivity! This is our way of reducing impact on our reefs worldwide. In nature, the larger female Clownfish will lay up to 200-300 eggs typically every 2 weeks. Unfortunately in the wild, a large percentage of the fry that hatch are eaten by other predatory species among the reef. However in the proper captive environment, those threats are non-existent and we are able to obtain and raise nearly 95% of each hatch. This basically eliminates any need to capture these fish from the wild making them 100% ecologically sustainable. Free from parasites and any other associated stresses from overseas, these captive-bred clowns become long lasting friends in the home aquarium.
